I discovered my passion for online communities early on. The first network I was logged into was not MySpace or Localists, no – it was the SWR Children’s Network. Even then, it gave me great pleasure to create my own pages and editorial contributions and to get involved in forums and guest books. So it was not surprising that after completing my bachelor’s degree in media and communication management with a focus on marketing, I took up the profession of social media manager.

Social Media in E-Commerce

From 2020 to 2022 I was responsible for the social media presence & influencer marketing of littlehipstar, the online shop for individual baby and children’s fashion, toys and children’s room decoration.

From 2017 to 2019, I am responsible for the social media area of zooplus strategically and in terms of content. 

zooplus AG is Europe’s leading online retailer of pet supplies. With over 5.8 million active customers in more than 30 European countries and a turnover of 1.3 billion euros in 2018, zooplus is the market leader in the online sector. 

My tasks included creating the social media strategy, introducing a social media management tool and designing and controlling all paid social media advertising campaigns.I am particularly proud of the organic development of the zooplus_official Instagram account to 40k followers within 1.5 years. 

Social Media in the Publishing House

From 2014 to 2017, I was Social Media Manager at CHIP Digital GmbH, which became BurdaForward in 2015.As a media tech company, CHIP combines user-oriented content and software development.BurdaForward publishes and markets the brands Focus Online, CHIP, The Huffington Post, Finanzen100, NetMoms and The Weather Channel. The company reaches more than 34 million people in Germany and thus every second German Internet user (AGOF digital-facts 2016-12). BurdaForward GmbH is a company of the globally active Hubert Burda Media Group.

My tasks there included carrying out status quo analyses and comparing competitors, independent implementation of social media projects, content & community management of CHIP Digital’s fan pages on the social media platforms Facebook, Google+, Twitter, and YouTube. I am particularly proud of the development and organic growth of the CHIP YouTube account to over 100,000 subscribers.
